Answers to frequently asked questions

Q: Is Metro a Calvary Chapel?
A: Yes, we are affiliated with the Calvary Chapel movement.

Q: What is a Calvary Chapel?
A: Calvary Chapel has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only to their overemphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the body of Christ.

Q: When was Metro founded?
A: 1989

Q: Who founded Metro?
A: Pastor Steve & Tamara Snook

Q: What area of the city does Metro serve?
A: Westside of Los Angeles: Highland Park on the east, 10 Freeway on the south, Santa Monica Beach on the West and Sunset Boulevard on the north.

Q: Are there programs and activities for kids?
A: Yes. We are committed to guide our children into a Godly future. Check out our Children's Ministry site for more information.

Q: What age groups attend Metro?
A: Our fellowship has believers of all age groups. The majority of our congregation is between 20 and 40 years young.
